Adrienne Arsht Center & The National Arts Marketing Project

The Arts and Business Council of Miami, in conjunction with the National Arts Marketing Project, held its fourth “Marketing Solutions” seminar of 2009 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County this past Tuesday, April 28, in the Peacock Education Center.  

The National Arts Marketing Project is an important organization that strives to improve the knowledge base of the business leaders who run our arts organizations. Focusing on the topic of rebranding, the workshop was attended by more than 50 arts marketers eager to learn creative marketing strategies to aid in repositioning and rebranding their organizations and help reach new audiences.  

In a prime position to speak on this topic, given the multiple rebrandings that have taken place at the Adrienne Arsht Center,   Andrew Goldberg, Vice President of Marketing at the Adrienne Arsht Center, outlined the marketing strategy and successful results the Center has seen as the organization has evolved.  

Accompanying Mr. Goldberg on the panel were presenters from a variety of companies and institutions, including University of Miami, the Miami International Film Festival, Nobox Marketing Group, the Wolfsonian at FIU, Mivista Consulting, Inc and Culture Shock.  

Presenting relevant topics for arts professionals for the last 15 years, The National Arts Marketing Project selected Miami and the Arts & Business Council as one of only 12 cities nationwide to implement this exciting new program sponsored by American Express. Workshops have been graciously hosted at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the past two years, which have had the highest attendance in the history of this series. “The space is perfect.  It’s easy to park and other groups get more understanding of the venue,” says Laura Bruney, Executive Director of the Arts and Business Council of Miami.    

The final workshop of the series, “Cyber Marketing: Show & Tell,” is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26 at the Adrienne Arsht Center and will be followed by a tour of the facility. For more information on the Arts & Business Council of Miami and the marketing workshops, visit www.artsbizmiami.org.
