Sustaining the luster of a world-class performing arts center, which is comprised of two buildings that straddle a federal  highway and totals 525,000 square feet takes planning, elbow grease and support from both the private and public sectors. In order to ensure the best possible experience for patrons and artists it is vitally important that the campus is maintained pristinely and the operating systems run flawlessly.

As we approach the end of our third season and gear up for the summer programs, more than 1 million guests have passed through the Center and we anticipate approximately 500,000 guests in our upcoming fourth season. Our hundreds of thousands of guests have already  taken a toll on doors, walls, floors and seats. To this end, Center management has developed a comprehensive plan to keep Miami-Dade County’s crowning jewel “like new.” In our five year capital replacement plan, we plan  to address the replacement of components which are starting to wear out and equipment that has become technically obsolete.

While the changeout of equipment, enhancements and care for this incredible Center should be virtually invisibile to our guests, it will be obvious to all our visitors and patrons that the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is being kept “Like New”.
